Lapsed Certification Renewal Policy

​I. POLICY OVERVIEW

To accommodate individuals whose certifications have lapsed, NAAC will require the completion of CEU’s based on the certification held and the period for which the certification has lapsed.

II. POLICY DETAILS

  1. RULES
  • To renew a lapsed CAC Certification, the CAC will be required to complete the Mandatory CEU Package for each year(s) their certification was lapsed, in addition to the current year CEU requirements.
  • To renew a lapsed CACO Certification, the CACO will be required to complete the Mandatory CEU Package for each year(s) the certification was lapsed, in addition to the current year CEU requirements.
  • To renew a lapsed CAPO Certification, the CAPO will be required to complete the Mandatory CEU Package for each year(s) the certification was lapsed, in addition to the current year CEU requirements.
  • To renew a lapsed CAFO Certification, the CAFO will be required to complete the Mandatory CEU Package for each year(s) the certification was lapsed, in addition to the current year CEU requirements.
  • To renew a lapsed CAPRO Certification, the CAPRO will be required to complete the Mandatory CEU Package for each year(s) the certification was lapsed, in addition to the current year CEU requirements.
  • If your CAC, CACO, CAPO, CAFO, or CAPRO certifications have expired for less than 5 years, retaking the course WILL NOT reinstate your certification. You must satisfy the requirements above to reinstate your certifications. 

2. LAPSE OF FIVE (5) YEARS OR GREATER

NAAC will require the CAC, CACO, CAFO, CAPO and/or CAPRO to retake the course and final exam to be reinstated.

3. MONITORING, EVALUATION AND REVISION

NAAC will monitor and evaluate this policy on an on-going basis and will revise the policy as needed.
